    Description The port authority to which the declaration is submitted shall issue the interested party with a certificate of submission of an application.

  • 2 Conduct of examinations

    Responsible for Implementation Collective body

    Description Once the person concerned has been granted the certificate of submission of the application, he/she must then be deemed qualified following an oral and practical examination by a three-member committee appointed by decision of the Head of the Port Authority.

    Notes Those who hold a certificate in Underwater Demolition or from a Hellenic Navy Diving School and have served in the Underwater Missions Unit of the Hellenic Coast Guard, as a combat diver specialist, are exempt from the examinations.

  • 3 Fulfilment of legal requirements – issue of a certificate

    Μethod of Implementation Inspection

    Description If it is established that the conditions laid down have been met, the port authority shall issue to the person who submitted the declaration a certificate attesting to the fulfilment of legal requirements (certificate) for commencing commercial scuba diving.

  • 4 Legal conditions not met – notification of interested party

    Responsible for Implementation Competent Employee

    Description The port authority shall prohibit commercial scuba diving activity if the legal conditions for doing so are not met or if the information submitted does not show that they are met, notifying the person concerned.
