To comply to all the building conditions and obligations according to the current institutional framework:
- The total area of the gym / sports school: a) is an area equal to or greater than 100sq.m, not including outdoor and semi-outdoor ar-eas and auxiliary areas (storage, elevator, boiler room, etc.) and b) has the necessary static adequacy.
- The total useful space used by the trainees for training or learning a sport is of an area equal to or greater than 70sq.m.
- The minimum height of each space is 2.6m.
- Minimum area of useful space per trainee is 5sq.m.
- The building has at least 2 locker rooms with provision for the security of personal belongings and with a minimum area of 50 sq.m. per trainee
- The exercise or exercise of the trainees is not carried out in underground spaces which are characterized as auxiliary by the provisions of General Building Regulations (G.B.B.)
- The operation of the gym does not produce sound emissions and does not cause nuisance to the locals.
- There is a bathroom with at least 2 sprinklers for hot and cold water for each locker room
- Existence of hydraulic installation for cleaning and drainage of toilets as well as sanitary basins. Natural or artificial ventilation lining with durable tiles on the entire surface of the walls at least up to a height of 1.70 m.
- Durable and non-slip coating on the entire surface of the floors, Doors that open from the outside to the inside. At least one sink per two toilets
- Operation of 2 toilets (one for men and one for women) for the trainees for a capacity of up to 80 trainees and operation of an additional lavatory for every additional 40 trainees

If the Gym / Sports School not have one, it is assured that within 30 days from its operation all the necessary actions will be taken in order for the relevant certificate to be issued by the fire service.

Interested parties must not to have the capacity of civil servant, local government employee, or Legal Entity under Private Law employee
a) Interested parties must not have been convicted or prosecuted for the following offenses with irrevocable commission for crime, theft, embezzlement, fraud, extortion, forgery, lawyer infidelity, bribery, oppression, infidelity related to service, breach of duty, crime against sexual freedom or and economic exploitation sexual trafficking, trafficking, possession and use of drugs, even if the of-fense is statute-barred
b) Interested parties must not have been deprived of his political rights due to a conviction
c) Interested parties should not be Wards of Court
d) Interested parties must not have been convicted for criminal and disciplinary offenses related to drug stimulation according to articles 128 G and 128 I and 130 law 2725/1999, as the three articles were added respectively, with articles 58.59 and 60 of Law 3057/2002 (GG 239/A/2002)

The Director of the gym / sports school:
a) is responsible for the elaboration of the internal regulations and for the control of the observance of all the specifications mentioned in the internal regulations, as well as in the existing provisions and is required
b) is employed full time and will not works in more than one gym or sports school.
In addition it is required:
c) to hold a degree from the Department of Physical Education and Sports Science (TEFAA) of a Greek or equivalent foreign university. In case the diplomas have been obtained in educational institutions abroad, they have been recognized by SAEP or DOATAP
d) to have at least three years experience in managing mass or individual learning or training programs
e) not to have the capacity of civil servant, local government employee, or Legal Entity under Public Law employee
f) has not been convicted or prosecuted by an irrevocable panel of a felony, theft, embezzlement, fraud, extortion, forgery, lawyer infidelity, bribery, repression, service infidelity, breach of duty, sexual intercourse, trafficking, possession and use of drugs, even if the offense is statute-barred
g) has not been deprived of his political rights as a result of a conviction
h) should not be Wards of Court (full or partial) or subsidiary support (full or partial) or a combination of the two, due to mental or emotional disorder
i) not to have been convicted for the criminal and disciplinary offenses of drug stimulation according to articles 128 G and 128 I and 130 Law 2725/1999, as the three articles were added respectively, with articles 58.59 and 60 of law 3057/2002 (GG 239/A/2002)

The Gym / sports school must employ as teachers, trainers, gymnasts and coaches holders of a TEFAA degree, from Greek or equivalent for-eign universitie, or holders of a license to practice a profession from the competent government agency.

For the registration in the gym or the sports school, as well as for the annual renewal of the registration, a special card will be kept, in which a doctor will confirm that the interested person can train in the taught sport. The managers of the gym will show the cards of the trainees during the checks carried out by the Certification and Control Committee according to article 9 of Presidential Decree 219/2006.
