A document such as the Residence Permit, the EU Citizen Registration Certificate, the Permanent Residence Certificate of a Citizen of an EU Member State, the Etiquette Identity Card (which, according to what is written on its form) has the status of a residence permit, the Certificate of submission of documents for the granting or renewal of a Type A Residence Permit, or the Special Identity Card of a Homegrown Citizen. The above document must have been issued at least 185 days before the date of submission of the application to the Directorate of Transport and Communications of the Regional Unit. It is acceptable to submit the above document with the application even before the expiry of the period of 185 days from the date of issue. In this case, in order to fulfil the requirement of certification of the habitual residence of the person concerned in Greece, at least two (2) additional proofs relating to the critical period in question shall be submitted, in addition to this document. The procedure involves the issue of an authorisation by the person directly concerned to the person he or she authorises to act on his or her behalf in the context of the conduct of affairs and up to the scope of the authority granted to him or her. In order to be accepted by any administrative authority, the authorisation should bear the authentic signature of the person authorising and directly concerned, as this ensures that the persons will is being expressed.
