Conditions for non-commission of criminal offenses
The applicant declares that there are no legal or other conflicts or incompatibilities, that he/ she is not an Energy Inspector (employee of the Energy Inspection Departments of Southern and Northern Greece),
that he/she is not an employee in the public or wider public sector, with a public or private law relationship of indefinite duration,
that he/she accepts the right to use, process statisticaly and disclose of data related to the energy inspections he/she has carried out, subject to the protection of personal data and commercially sensitive information, as well as that all the information accompanying his/her application is true.

Professional
Energy Inspectors who have been certified in European Union countries are included in the corresponding Energy Inspector Register of article 54, in application of the relevant national and European legislation (Law 4409/2016, Article 52 par. 4).

Submission of notification for registration in the Register of Energy Inspectors

Description The interested party submits the application online through the gov.gr portal or directly on the website of the Ministry of Environment and Energy (Link), filling in the necessary personal data and the username and password. The information system automatically sends the unique Participation Code Number (PCN) by e-mail. The interested party logs in to the information system with his/her codes by filling in the Participation Code Number (PCN) sent to him/her and submits the notification of the commencement of the Energy Inspectors activity. He/she then attaches the necessary supporting documents (in .pdf format), fills in the fee number received when paying it and submits definitively his/ her notification.

Approval of notification/registration in the Energy Inspectors Register

Description When the supporting documents are complete and correct, an official of the Energy Inspection Department selects the "Approval" field in the information system. The information system sends an e-mail to the person concerned with the unique registration number received when registering in the Energy Inspector Register, as well as credentials for access to the electronic Building Inspections archive.

Rejection of a notification / Prohibition to exercise the activity of the Energy Inspector

Description If the correctness and completeness of the supporting documents can not be verified through the checks, a rejection letter is sent by the General Directorate of the Inspectors and Auditors Body of the Ministry of Environment, informing the interested party that his/her application is rejected. After the rejection, the applicant may resubmit the notification.
Notes According to Article 55 of Law 4409/2016 "if the legal requirements are not met or their existence is not evident from the submitted data, the competent Energy Inspection Department of the Inspection Body of Northern and Southern Greece of the Ministry of Environment and Energy inform the applicant in writing that the exercise of the activity is prohibited, stating the relevant reasons. Otherwise, after three (3) months, the applicant shall freely carry out the activity, without any further notice or action by him/ her.
