6. In case of inability to present the above-mentioned supporting documents, as a result of the destruction of records or employment records or from another cause, the following may be accepted as evidence: Booklets of insurance stamps, as well as any other public document, from which the employment of the applicant in a job position with the same or related object is deduced and the interested party must substantiate in his/her application the reasons for which he/she is unable to provide the necessary supporting documents. One or more supporting documents are submitted that cover as a minimum the required total duration of previous professional experience. In case the previous experience was acquired in another EU member state the corresponding supporting documents must be validated for their authenticity by the respective competent authorities of that Member State

1. The interested party must have announced the profession of Installation Engineer or
2. The interested party must have obtained the 1st, 2nd or 3rd Specialization Chief Technician Installation Engineer Licence or
3. As long as the person concerned is a citizen of an EU member state and has acquired his professional qualifications in another member state, either as self-employed or as an employee, his professional qualifications must be recognized by the competent body of the country.

Prior Service
Part 1: Approval to participate in examinations for the purpose of obtaining a Chief Technician Installation Engineer Licence of the 4th Specialty:
If the person concerned is an Installation Technician, he must have acquired 24 months’ experience in installations of the 4th Speciality following the submission of an application for a Certificate of Notification of a Technical Engineer.
If the person concerned is a Chief Technician Installation Engineer of 1st or 2nd or 3rd Specialty, he must have acquired 8 months’ experience as an Installation Technician in installations of the 1st Specialty.
Where the person concerned has completed a specific vocational training programme, the corresponding prior experience required may be replaced up to 25 % of the completion of one or more specific vocational training programmes, following the issue of a certificate of notice or a valid licence.
