Description

The procedure relates to actions to be taken by the main tourist accommodation operator (hotel, organised tourist camping site, youth hostels) before the business starts its operation. The notification procedure has replaced the Special Operation Mark. The planned inspection of the lawful operation of the accommodation facilities shall be carried out on an ex post basis by the competent authorities.

the procedure is carried out by the competent Tourism Service (Regional Tourism Services or Special Service for the Promotion and Authorisation of Tourism Investments (EYPPATE)) of the General Secretariat for Tourism Policy and Development.

1. The fees are calculated according to the capacity (number of rooms) of the tourist accommodation establishment. The maximum cost cannot be determined in advance because it depends on the number of rooms in the tourist accommodation establishment.

2. The main tourist accommodation facilities must have an approved distinctive title.

3. Hotels and organised tourist camping sites must, within 50 days of their notification of operation, issue a classification certificate from the Hellenic Chamber of Hotels.

4. NB! The notification of the swimming pools of the tourist accommodation is now submitted with the notification of the tourist accommodation establishment in the MIS https://openbusiness.mindev.gov.gr/, provided that the operator of the tourist accommodation establishment is the same as the operator of the swimming pool. The documents relating to the swimming pool are specified in procedure MITOS 357446.

3 Urban planning Existence of a building permit or construction permit issued by the relevant local authority or other competent authority: For sites which have been conserved, in accordance with Articles 5 and 6 of Law 3843/2010 (Government Gazette, Series I, Issue 62), a copy of the application confirming that the site conservation procedure has been completed shall be kept at the facility, in accordance with Article 6(5) of Law 3843/2010 (Government Gazette, Series I, Issue 62). For constructions or uses that have been subjected to the provisions of Article 24 of Law 4014/2011 (Government Gazette, Series I, Issue 209) and the provisions of Law 4178/2013, the certificate of completion of the procedure, in accordance with Article 2 of Decision 41498/26.9.2011 of the Minister for Administrative Reform and e-Governance, the Minister for the Environment, Energy and Climate Change and the Minister for Justice, Transparency and Human Rights (Government Gazette, Series I, Issue 2167) or the certificate of payment of 30% of the total fine from the IT system of the Technical Chamber of Greece shall be kept at the facility.

5 Environmental In the case where the facility is environmentally licensed and in accordance with the terms and conditions for the management and disposal of liquid waste laid down in the decision approving the environmental terms or in the standard environmental commitments and is connected to the sewerage network of the local authority concerned, proof of connection to that network must be kept at the facility.

6 Building The active fire safety requirements for buildings are met.
