In cases where the basic studies were carried out in a foreign institution, a clear photocopy of the Act (Certification) of Recognition of the first (1st) cycle education (graduate/basic degree). If the title of the first (1st degree) course (basic degree) has not been recognised, the recognition of this title should first be sought (see DOATAP Procedure with the code 531918 in the National Register of Administrative Procedures).

Notes: A copy of the third-cycle degree (doctorate) that is requested to be recognised, which either A) will bear a certification of the authenticity of the signatures in accordance with the Hague Convention (APOSTILLE stamp) * (explanation below) and then legally certified by one of the following Greek authorities: i) the translation service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Greece or ii) a Greek lawyer or iii) the Embassy/Consulate of Greece in the country where the document is issued. In addition, an official translation** (explained below) must be submitted if the title is issued in a language other than Greek, English or French. or B) If it does not bear a certification for the authenticity of signatures according to the Hague Convention (APOSTILLE stamp) and if the title is issued in Greek, English or French, a simple copy of the title can be attached to the application but the applicant must inform the University to send it to the DOATAP for comparison. Notes: If the Program of Studies provides for the attendance of courses, an official transcript of records with detailed grades for all years of study is required, which must be signed, bear the stamp of the Institution and indicate the date of award of the degree. A copy must be submitted, which, alternatively, must meet the following requirements: A) it must bear a certification of authenticity of signatures in accordance with the Hague Convention (APOSTILLE stamp) * (see explanation below). (see the explanatory note below) and, thereafter, legal certification by one of the following Greek authorities: i. the Translation Service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Greece or ii. a Greek lawyer or iii. the Embassy/Consulate of Greece in the country where the document is issued In addition, an official translation** (explanation below) must be provided if the course certificate is issued in a language other than Greek, English or French. The fee paid for the examination of the application for recognition of the Masters degree is 130,00 € (valid from 1/12/2024, detailed table at Link) . This amount shall be deposited only in the Bank of Greece
