Title
Interested parties must submit an application form along with the necessary supporting documents either to the competent port authority or electronically via the gov.gr portal.
Notes:
Until the licence holder reaches the age of 45, each lifeguard licence will remain valid for a period of four years and will be renewed within 6 months of its expiry. Between the ages of 45 and 55, each lifeguard licence will remain valid for 2 years and will be renewed within 6 months of its expiry. Between the ages of 55 and 60, each lifeguard licence will remain valid for 1 year and will be renewed within 6 months of its expiry.

This relates to candidates aged between 45 and 60 years of age. Recent (issued within the last month) medical certificates-attestations from physicians specialising in General or Occupational Medicine, Pulmonology – Phthisiology, Psychiatry, Ophthalmology and Dermatology, certifying that, within the scope of each physician’s specialty, the applicant a) is not suffering from a contagious disease and b) is medically fit to carry on the profession in question. A health certificate-attestation from a cardiologist, certifying that the applicant is not suffering from a cardiovascular disease must also be submitted.

PHOTOGRAPH SPECIFICATIONS
The photograph to be used must have a width of at least 450 pixels and a height of 513 to 531 pixels. Sizes smaller than this will not be accepted, but larger sizes may be accepted if they have the appropriate height/width ratio (from 1.14 to 1.18). Theoretical (written) tests will take place online using the Prospective Lifeguard Testing Information System. They will take place in Greek, in a room designated in advance, on specific dates and at specific times. Persons not sitting the tests will not be allowed to enter. The theoretical (written) test includes a multiple choice questionnaire for the candidates. There are 50 questions. A candidate who has correctly answered at least 47 of the 50 questions will be deemed to have passed the theoretical (written) test. After the end of the specified exam period, the questionnaires are automatically corrected by the Prospective Lifeguard Testing Information System.
