2 Citizenship A licence to establish a water aerodrome is granted to associations of persons and to natural persons of Greek citizenship or citizenship of a member state of the European Union or the European Economic Area who reside in Greece or in a member state of the European Union or the European Economic Area.

3 Citizenship A water aerodrome establishment licence shall be granted to legal persons governed by private law having their registered offices either in Greece or in the territory of a Member State of the EU or of the EEA, provided more than 50% of their assets, capital and effective control belong to natural or legal persons with nationality and residence or registered offices in a Member State of the EU or the European Economic Area.

4 Tax A licence to establish a water aerodrome is granted to a natural or legal person who has his/her residence or registered office respectively in a country outside Greece, but within the EU or the EEA, if a natural or legal person is appointed as his/her counterpart and deputy, who resides or has his/her registered office in Greece and the following information is provided: full name/company name, ID number (for the natural person) or General Commercial Register number, or the corresponding number of the Commercial Chamber, as well as the details of the legal representative (for legal persons), VAT number, competent tax office, address of residence/corporate office and contact telephone number.

5 Age The legal representative (managing director, or manager or legal representative or a natural person), members or partners of associations of persons and Private Legal Entities (except for public bodies) must be at least 18 years of age.

5 Forwarding of a water aerodrome technical dossier to the competent departments for the issuance of an opinion, with notification of the interested party.

Description The Department of Air Transport shall, within ten (10) working days, shall forward the technical file of a water airport to the services responsible for issuing an opinion. The competent departments to which the water aerodrome technical dossier is forwarded shall issue an opinion on the supporting documents to the interested party, notified to the Department of Air Transport and the other competent departments, within thirty (30) working days of the date the technical dossier is received.

7 Changes to the supporting documents of the technical dossier recommended.

Description In case the competent departments recommend necessary changes to the technical dossier supporting documents submitted, the interested party shall make the corresponding changes and submit the corrected technical dossier supporting documents to all the departments, notifying the Department of Air Transport. Additionally, the interested party shall resubmit the updated information for environmental permitting to the competent environmental department.

8 Re-examination of the technical dossier with the corrected technical dossier supporting documents.

9 Issuance of an opinion on the technical dossier by the competent departments.

Description The competent departments shall complete the technical dossier examination by issuing an opinion on the acceptance or rejection of the technical dossier supporting documents and the pre-approval or approval of the water aerodrome manuals, where required.

10 Issuance of an opinion on the acceptance or presumed acceptance of the technical dossier supporting documents.

Description After having examined the water aerodrome technical dossier and on the condition of having issued an opinion on the acceptance or presumed acceptance of the technical dossier supporting documents, pre-approved the water aerodrome manual and ensured that the provisions of the valid Environmental Terms Approval Decision are satisfied for water aerodrome falling under category A projects, and subjection to Standard Environmental Commitments for waterways falling under category B projects, the competent departments shall recommend the issuance of a decision granting a water airport establishment licence.

11 Acceptance of a solemn declaration by the interested party concerning the compatibility of the environmental permitting with the technical dossier.

13 Issuance of a Joint Ministerial Decision granting a water aerodrome establishment licence

Description In cases of water aerodrome within a port, a waterway establishment licence shall be issued by virtue of a Joint Ministerial Decision issued by the Minister of Finance, the Minister of Infrastructure and Transport, and the Minister of Maritime Affairs and Insular Policy. In cases of waterways on a lake, a waterway establishment licence shall be issued exclusively by virtue of a decision of the Minister of Infrastructure and Transport. In cases of waterway in integrated tourism development areas, complex tourist accommodation establishment and tourist ports, the joint decision of the Minister of Finance, the Minister of Infrastructure and Transport, and the Minister of Maritime Affairs and Insular Policy shall also be signed by the Minister of Tourism.
