On a date to be announced by the Ministry of Education, Sports and Religious Affairs, the graduates of General High School and Vocational High School, who have excelled during their studies at high school, apply for enrolment in University Departments: in the Balkan, European or International Olympiad in Mathematics, Computer Science or Robotics, Physics, Chemistry, Biology or Economics and have been awarded first, second or third prize (gold, silver or bronze medal) in the European Competition for Young Scientists (EUCYS), the European Science Olympiad (EUSO), where they have been awarded first, second or third prize, the European Girls Mathematics Olympiad (EGMO), where they have been awarded first, second or third prize (Articles 40 and 138 of Law No. 4692/2020 (GOVERNMENT GAZETTE111-A)).

1 Educational It is necessary for the candidates to have participated in the Panhellenic examinations having achieved the minimum enrollment base (M.E.B.) or the M.E.B.s of the special course or special courses or practical tests of the relevant school, department or introductory direction, if such is the case, as well as the M.E.B. of the school, department or introductory direction.

2 Educational The distinction is certified by the respective scientific body or association for each individual competition, which must have received the prior approval of the competent, according to the relevant provisions, Directorate or Department of the Ministry of Education, Sports and Religious Affairs. for the organisation of the Panhellenic Student Competitions, which results in the participants/participants in the National Student Teams representing the country. The approval is granted after an opinion of the Institute of Educational Policy (IEP), based on the proven scientific validity of the relevant institutions or associations and the competitions that each of them conducts.

3 Educational Prerequisites for General High School candidates. Candidates of the General High School are enrolled in excess of the number of admission to schools, departments or introductory courses of the University, which belong to a scientific field of the Orientation Group they have chosen, provided that the subject in which they have excelled in the Olympiads is included either in the subjects of the Orientation Group chosen by the candidates in the last grade of secondary school or in the subjects of the Orientation Group of the last grade at the time when the candidates achieved the distinction. An award in Robotics, which develops targeted IT applications, counts as an award in Computer Science.

4 Educational Prerequisites for Vocational High School candidates. Vocational High School (EPAL) graduates, who during their studies at the Vocational High School have distinguished themselves in Balkan, European or International Olympiad competitions in Mathematics, Computer Science or Robotics, Physics, Chemistry, Biology or Economics and have been awarded first, second or third prize (gold, silver or bronze medal) are enrolled in excess of the number of admissions to schools, departments or introductory courses of the University, which are included in the group corresponding to their field of graduation.
