            • 3 Administrative For holding auctions of movable monuments, it is required issuance of licence by the competent Authority of the Ministry of Culture.

            • 4 Administrative The permit is issued for a specific list of monuments to be auctioned.

            • 14 Conditions for non-commission of criminal offenses They provide guarantee for the fulfiment of the obligations of auction holders. Guarantee is provided by the applicant if he/she has not been irrevocably convicted for a felony or violation of legislation on the protection of cultural heritage or for forgery, bribery, theft, embezzlement or acceptance of proceeds of crime. The impediment applies for as long as there is a pending criminal prosecution. The application my be rejected is there has been a decision of suspension of the sentence imposed for one of the above acts or if the criminal prosecution for one of these acts was permanently terminated due to limitation period. If the applicant is a legal person, the impediment must not apply for members of the Board of Directors or the members of the Board.

            • 15 Prior Service If the auction is conducted by a legal person, a person responsible for conducting the auction is appointed, who is required to have the following formal and substantial qualifications: i) degree or diploma from a Department of any University level school in Greece or an equivalent school abroad, preferably from the Department of Archaeology or the Department of Communication, Media and Culture or ii) at least two years of employment in an enterprise organising auctions of cultural goods.
