Medical
Candidate drivers and drivers, in order to proceed with any procedure concerning their driving licence for which a medical examination is required, must be examined by a doctor of the following specialities: a) Pathologist and the related specialities of general practitioner, haematologist, gastroenterologist, endocrinologist, rheumatologist, cardiologist, pulmonologist, nephrologist and a non-specialist doctor who has been licensed for at least five (5) years. As part of the examination and history taking, the examinee, in the case of a suspected disease of the arthymia, hearing, nervous system, or any other disease for which a specialists opinion is required, shall be referred to a doctor of the corresponding specialty. b) Ophthalmologist, c) Otolaryngologist (compulsory for those over 80 years of age), d) Neurologist or Psychiatrist (compulsory for those over 80 years of age). The aforementioned doctors shall give an opinion on the state of health of the person concerned and issue medical health certificates which must include the obligatory classification of the person concerned as COMPETENT or NOT COMPETENT.

As is the residence permit, the Certificate of residence permit issued by a Member State of the European Union, the Certificate of residence permit issued by a Member State of the European Union, the Identity Card, which (according to the form) is in the position of a residence permit, the Certificate of Grant or Renewal of a Type A residence permit, the Special Identity Card of the person concerned. This document must be issued at least 185 days before the date of submission of the application to the Transport and Communications Directorate. It is acceptable to submit, with the application, the document concerned and before the completion of the 185 days period from its issue. In this case, for the purpose of fulfilling the requirement for a certificate of habitual residence of the person concerned in Greece, at least two (2) additional evidence relating to that period may be submitted to the relevant period.

Description
The person concerned receives the driving licence in person, from the Directorate of Transport and Communications or from the Point of Single Contact (KEP-EKE) where the relevant application has been submitted. The driving licence shall be delivered, with signature, to the holder, who must be in possession of his/her identity card or valid passport, and to a person in possession of any legal document such as a power of attorney duly certified as authentic or a power of attorney. He/she shall also surrender the drivers license if it contains at least one (1) valid category (such as a renewal of category C or D while B is still valid) and the colour temporary drivers licence.
