Description
The procedure concerns the issuance of a certificate of registration to citizens of the European Union, the European Economic Area and the Swiss Confederation, who are to reside in Greece for a period exceeding three months from the date of their arrival as members of the family of a citizen of the Union, who resides in the Greek territory as an employee or non-employee or economically inactive person or student in accordance with article 7 par. 1 of Presidential Decree 106/2007.

Request for treatment or hierarchical appeal pursuant to article 24 of Law No. 2690/1999. The person concerned may request, either from the administrative authority which issued the act, its revocation or amendment (application for cure), or from the authority which is in charge of the authority which issued the act (Attica and Thessaloniki Aliens Directorates, Chora Police Directorates), its annulment (hierarchical appeal). The administrative authority to which the application is submitted must notify the person concerned of its decision on the application within thirty (30) days at the latest, unless a different deadline is provided for by special provisions.

Time limit
Citizens of the Union who are to reside in Greece for more than three months from the date of arrival shall be required after the end of the quarter to appear in person to the authorities responsible for handling matters of foreign police authorities at their place of residence for registration.
