Τhe application serves as a solemn declaration under Article 8 of Law 1599/1986 (Government Gazette, Series I, No 75) for the information stated therein and the supporting documents submitted along with that application. Any inaccuracy in the information stated in the application incurs the stipulated criminal and administrative sanctions. Foreign citizens who do not have a tax ID number must have their identity verified by DOATAP and will then be sent their portal access credentials (user name and password).

The procedure requires the applicant to obtain an electronic solemn declaration. It is not necessary to visit the premises of any administrative authority or a Citizen Service Centre (KEP).
Online solemn declarations can be issued in the following two (2) ways: (a) using your personal web banking codes for one of the available banks, or (b) using your personal TAXISnet credentials (after first logging in once with your web banking credentials to confirm your mobile phone number).
You will then receive confirmation codes by text message on your mobile phone.
The electronic solemn declaration that you issue is legally equivalent to a solemn declaration bearing an authentic signature and you can either send it electronically or print it out and submit it to a public authority. At the same time, citizens continue to be entitled to physically sign the solemn declaration form (in accordance with Article 8 of Law 1599/1986) and to submit it to a competent authority, as a supporting document.

If courses have been recognised/transferred from an earlier degree or section of a programme of studies, the following supporting documents must be attached as a single file:
A) The degree and the official transcript from the institution from which the credits have been transferred, if the programme of study was completed or only the official transcript if the programme of study was not completed.
B) Certificate from the institution which awarded the degree for which recognition is sought, clarifying the recognition/transfer of credit units.
All the above must be attached to the application by the applicant as a single file and, in addition, the applicant must request, at their own responsibility, that they be sent to DOATAP (by post or electronically to protocol_A@doatap.gr), so that a comparison can be made.
