The procedure concerns the registration of successful candidates in the national examinations of students of General Senior High Schools (GEL) or Vocational Senior High School (EPAL) in departments or schools of Higher Education Institutions (HEIs) and Higher Ecclesiastical Academies (HEA).

Successful candidates must register online within a period announced by the Ministry of Education and Religious Affairs through the online registration information system of the Ministry of Education and Religious Affairs. To log into the online app, candidates should enter the 8-digit candidate exam code and the same password they used to log into the online app of the application form. If a new security code is required, interested parties shall contact the school from which they received the original code, with their ID card.

Successful candidates may access the online registrations information system of the Ministry of Education and Religious Affairs at https://eregister.it.minedu.gov.gr. To log into the online app, candidates should enter the 8-digit candidate exam code and the same password they used to log into the online app of the application form. The online application for registration shall serve as a solemn declaration of Article 8 of Law 1599/1986 (GG A 75). After logging into the app, successful candidates shall be asked to fill in their personal social security number (AMKA), which is verified through interoperability with the AMKA National Register. Among the other information that the user is asked to complete in their online registration application is their ID card or passport number, which usually appears pre-filled in with the corresponding number, which the user has completed in their application form, while retaining the ability to modify them.

During the online registration process, successful candidates are required to provide their contact details, mobile phone number and email address, which are confirmed through the relevant functions of the online app. Please note that the correctness of the contact details is particularly important, as the secretariats of the schools/departments will be able to use them in further processes. All registration processes are carried out either by the successful candidate themselves or by a person duly authorised by them. If the individual details displayed pre-completed in the application do not correspond to the details on the ID card or passport, and the applicant cannot solemnly declare that they accept their correctness, then they must immediately correct and update the incorrect details in the systems of the AMKA National Register, by submitting an application to any Citizens’ Service Centre (KEP). After checking the correctness of the displayed modified details, the successful candidate should complete his online registration within the prescribed deadline. After the final submission of the online registration application, a link may appear that prompts them to fill in more details for statistical purposes on a voluntary basis.

For military academies, police academies, fire service academies, merchant marine academies, Hellenic Coast Guard academies and Higher Schools of Tourism Education, the deadline and the registration procedure for successful candidates shall be determined and carried out by the relevant ministries.

            • 2 Administrative When submitting the online registration application, the successful candidate shall declare that they are not registered in another first-year course in an HEI or HEA department or school included in Ministerial Decision F.253/11812/Α5/2020 (GG B 345), as currently in force. If a successful candidate is already registered in a first-year course in an HEI or HEA department or school in Greece, with the same application/solemn declaration, they shall state the HEI or HEA department or school they have already been registered with and they shall request to be removed from it, in order to complete their registration in the new department or school.

              Description Following the announcement of the results of the selection and in an exclusive period announced by the Ministry of Education and Religious Affairs (Y.P.I.TH), the successors of the Departments and Schools of S.A. and of S.A. are required by electronic application of the Ministry of Education and Religious Affairs to submit an electronic application for their Department or School of Success.               Description If a successful person is already enrolled in a first-cycle course of study of a Department or School of S.E.I. or S.E.A. with the same application/responsible statement (applicant for his registration in the new school of success) he states the Department or School of S.E.I. or S.A. which is already registered and at the same time requesting his removal from it in order to complete his registration in the new Department or the new School.

              Description After completing the electronic registration procedure, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs shall send to each A.E.I. and A.E.A.: (a) a aggregated table of the registered departments or Schools, through the central application of the Ministry of Education, which shall contain at least the following key elements for each listed candidate, Name, Last name, Father, Mothername, A.M.K.A., e-mail address, mobile phone number, and A.E.I. or A.A., in case it is already registered in another curriculum (a.E.I. or A.A.) of the country. In case they are already registered, their registration is subject to the qualification of the previous Department or School.

            • 4 Procedure for deletion of successors to another Department or School of S.A. or S.A.



              Description For the completion of the record of successful students, who are already enrolled in another course of studies of a Department or a School of S.A., it is necessary to complete their deletion from that Department or School. For this reason the Secretariats of Sections or Schools after receiving the centralised table of applicants for deletion without delay delete the applicants for deletion from students. The Secretariats of the Departments or Schools are sent electronically to the Secretariat of the New Department or School of S.A. or S.A. which had declared to be his contact details in the electronic application of the P.A.TH. In the exceptional case where the successful student does not wish to complete his registration in the new Department or School, the relevant attestation to the applicant's e-mail address, which he had declared as his contact details in the electronic application of the H.A.I.TH.

            • 5 Obligations of the Secretariats of Sections and Schools

The Secretariats of the Departments and Schools, check and compare the nominal list of successes already taken by the decision to validate tables from the Ministry of Education with the list of subscribed. The Secretariats of the Departments and Schools may use the confirmed contact details of the subscribed for the performance of the code for the use of their electronic services and/or for communication. After completing the registration procedure, each Department or School of S.A. shall compile and send to the Ministry of Education an electronic file of all the completed documents.
