a) in person at the competent OAED department of the place of residence (this option is not provided for by Law 15/4/2020, due to emergency conditions); b) online, using access codes. Online registration with the OAED (labour employment office) will require the user’s personal taxisnet username and password or OAED identification codes for those users who already have them. The unemployment card is valid for 3 months from its issue. Renewal of the unemployment card is required for extension of its validity. Renewal shall take place within twenty (20) days before the expiry date of the card.
Please note that the unemployment card is not an application for a regular unemployment benefit. If at any time any check (electronic or face-to-face) reveals that the transactor did not meet the conditions for registration, the card and any administrative acts issued shall be revoked.Last update

Notes It is not mandatory to provide the address of the last employer. It can be filled in if the transactor wishes to register at the central employment office of the last employer and not at the central employment office of their residence.

Description The drafting of an individual action plan, in cooperation with an employment adviser, for the integration of the applicant into the labour market is compulsory for all registered unemployed persons, except for the following categories of unemployed: Teachers, builders and seasonal workers referred to in Article 4(2)(b) and (c) of Law 1545/1985 who become short-term unemployed (persons employed in tourism and other seasonal professions, workers employed in motorised fishing and emery mines). The applicant shall state whether or not they belong to one of these categories.

Notes Please note that the unemployment card is not an application for a regular unemployment benefit. In order to qualify for unemployment benefits, a separate APPLICATION for REGULAR UNEMPLOYMENT BENEFIT must be submitted.

Exit from the procedure
Description Once the procedure has been successfully completed, instructions on how to proceed appear. The applicant may print/save the forms (by clicking on the respective buttons) and then leave the platform (select ‘EXIT’).
Notes The unemployment card is available for printing only at this stage.
