Application – Solemn Declaration considered as Solemn Declaration according to article 8 of Law 1599/1986, listing the details of the applicant natural or legal person, the Tax Register Number (AFM) and the Local Tax Office (DOY) to which the person belongs and where the commencement of operations has been performed, based on the Activity Code (KAD) 55.90.14.
The Solemn Declaration shall state the activities (educational/ demonstrational/ attendance) practiced within the agricultural operation, in case the accommodation is outside of its bounds.
If any of the activities thus declared is subsequently changed, the business shall submit a new Solemn Declaration.

In case the above deadline (28 days) expires, it is assumed that the applica-tion has been approved and the special licence has been issued (tacit approval) as provided in article 14 par.4 of Law 3844/2010 (Α΄ 63) . The interested party may request from the competent authority (Regional Department for Tourist Businesses and Professions) an attestation.

Previous to the application to obtain a Special Licence for Agrotourism (ESA), the business shall have completed:
- The notification procedure for accommodations in accordance with JMD 8592/2017 “Simplification of the procedure of commencement of operation of tourist accommodation” (B 1750).
- The notification procedure for businesses of sanitary interest, in accordance with JMD 16228/2017 “Simplification and standardisation of administrative procedures of notification of the operation of Businesses of Sanitary Interest, Theatres, Cinemas”, joint ministerial decision (B 1723)
- The notification procedure for swimming pools within tourist accommodation facilities, in accordance with JMD 7858/2017 “Simplification of the operation and use framework of swimming pools”, joint ministerial decision (B 1654).
