Notes:
Every person who is about to be married submits the marriage licence with the required supporting documents to his/her Municipality. The application shall include the name and surname of the persons, their profession, the name of their parents where they were born, the place where they last lived and the place where the marriage is to be performed. ( The application shall include the individual elements listed in the first paragraph of Article 1369 CC, both the person submitting it and the other person, with whom the marriage is about to take place).

Where the person responsible for issuing the licence refuses to grant it, the competent Single Judge Court of First Instance shall decide irrevocably in accordance with the provisions of Jurisdiction of the Code of Civil Procedure; the judicial decision shall be issued in 10 days following the submission of the application.

In any case, the mayor or the president of the Community should wait for a week from the date of the submission of the relevant application by third parties, the absence on the person of a positive condition or the existence on the person or his relationship with him or his or her, in which he or she is to be married. The complaint shall be made by any person in writing and shall be examined, if he or she is accompanied by serious evidence proving the case or expressed in the form of a responsible declaration of Law 105/1969. In the event of such a complaint, the mayor or the President of the Community shall promptly call on the person concerned to challenge it.
