In order to teach foreign languages, where the applicant’s qualifications do not match those of public-school educators, a certificate of competence in foreign language teaching is required.

he or she has not been convicted or indicted with a final bill of indictment under Articles 8 and 9 of the Civil Service Code (Law 3528/2007, Series I, No 26)) as amended and in force;
he or she has not been dismissed from a position as a civil servant or private educator or teacher at a tutoring centre or language school for disciplinary reasons or for incompetence in the performance of his or her duties.

4. Extract from the applicant’s criminal record for judicial use (ex officio search).
