The procedure concerns the licensing of the establishment and operation of music institutes (conservatories, music schools, choirs, symphony orchestras and chamber music groups) which is assigned to the Municipalities, according to Law 3852/2010 "New Architecture of Local Government and Decentralized Administration - Kallikrates Program" article 94 (par. 4, case 28)
- The suitability conditions/prerequisites inspection is conducted by "Building Inspection Committees for the Suitability of the Buildings of Music Schools", which consists of: 2 Technicians (Architect or Civil Engineer) and one Sanitary/Occupational Health expert.
- For the Region of Attica, the Committee for the Inspection of the Suitability of Music School Facilities is established by a decision of the Minister of Culture.
- For the Regions outside Attica, Committees for the Inspection of the Suitability of the Buildings of Music Schools with the same composition are appointed by Decision of the G.G. of the relevant Region.
