Permanent residence permit for an investor (short-term lease) – Article 100, n. 5038/2023 (B.5) – Initial grant

Notes:

An application for a residence permit for investment reasons shall be submitted by electronic services (e-services) of the Ministry of Migration and Asylum. Also, a third-country citizen who fulfils the conditions for subjecting the arrangements laid down in Articles 96 to 100 may submit by means of an application for a residence permit under the above provisions, prior to his entry into the Greek territory. The application shall be submitted pursuant to an appropriate proxy document drawn up before a consulate or before a competent foreign authority or a notary who is established abroad and shall bear the marking of the Hague Stamp of the Hague Convention of 5 October 1961 (APOSTILLE) or the corresponding visa of the Greek consular authority.

The third-country national concerned has the right to appeal against the rejection decision. The application for treatment should be submitted within two (2) months of service of the decision. Applications for treatment are subject to a fee of EUR 50. The request for treatment is submitted to the department that issued the relevant decision, which decides on it within an exclusive period of thirty (30) days from the date of submission.

4 Ownership The person(s) concerned should have entered into a time-share rental contract, in accordance with Law 1652/1986 (A'167) or a long-term contract of complex tourist accommodation of at least five years duration of at least eight hundred thousand (800,000) for tourist accommodation located in the Attica Region, the Regional Unit of Thessaloniki of the Region of Central Macedonia, the Regional Units of Mykonos and Thera of the South Aegean Region and for the islands with a population of more than three thousand (3,100) inhabitants. Note that Euboea is an island region subject to the 800,000 limit.

5 Financial If the time-share of the tourist accommodation enters into a legal person based in Greece or another EU Member State, the third-country citizen should be able to demonstrate by depositing documents that he is the owner of all the shares, shares or shares.
