Notes:

Until the licence holder reaches the age of 45, each lifeguard licence will remain valid for a period of four years and will be renewed within 6 months of its expiry. Between the ages of 45 and 55, each lifeguard licence will remain valid for 2 years and will be renewed within 6 months of its expiry. Between the ages of 55 and 60, each lifeguard licence will remain valid for 1 year and will be renewed within 6 months of its expiry.

Sizes smaller than this will not be accepted, but larger sizes may be accepted if they have the appropriate height/width ratio (from 1.14 to 1.18).
