Description

The procedure concerns the issue of a Special Identity Card of Expatriates from the countries of the USSR. Those who are entitled to obtain, in accordance with paragraph 11 of Article 1 of Law 2790/2000, as amended and valid, a Special Identity Card for Expatriates, shall submit a request in person with the supporting documents referred to in paragraph 3 of Article 1 of that Law, the Secretary-General of the Region of their place of residence, if they are resident in Greece, or the Hellenic Consulate of their place of residence, if they are resident in countries of the former Soviet Union. For the purpose of granting a Special ID card for Expatriates from the former USSR, in minor children, the application with the necessary supporting documents is submitted by the person concerned. If the person having parental care is already a holder of a Special Identity Card for Expatriates, his/her minor children are also entitled to a corresponding card.

(7004/3/50-b Decision of the Minister and State Secretary for Civil Protection - FEΚ 2418 t.B/08-12-2009) authorising Article 8 of Joint Ministerial Decision No 48648/8-c from 17-07/2000 (FEK B 911/26.07.2000).

Notes:

Those who are entitled to obtain, according to paragraph 11 of article 1 of Law 2790/2000, as amended and in force, a Special Identity Card for Expatriates, submit in person a relevant application with the supporting documents of paragraph 3 of article 1 of the same Law, to the Secretary General of the Region of their place of residence, if they reside in Greece, or to the Greek Consular Authority of their place of residence, if they reside in countries of the former USSR.

  • 1 Citizenship The applicant/subscriber must have an expatriate status or be a minor child of an expatriate.

  • 2 Administrative Those who are entitled to obtain a Special Identity Card for Expatriates from countries of the USSR, in case of residents in Greece, shall submit a request in person to the Secretary-General of the Region of their place of residence.

  • 3 Administrative Those who are entitled to obtain a Special Identity Card for Expatriates from the countries of the USSR, in case of residents in countries of the former USSR, shall submit a relevant application in person for the necessary supporting documents to the Hellenic Consulate Authority of their place of residence.

  • 4 Administrative For the purpose of granting a Special Identity Card for Expatriates from countries of the former USSR, the application in respect of the necessary documents shall be submitted by the person who has the parental responsibility. If the person who has the parental responsibility is already holder of a Special Identity Card for Expatriates, he/she shall be entitled to an equivalent card and his minors.

    Description The Special Committee shall send to the body responsible for adopting the decision granting the Special ID Card for Expatriates (competent Police Office), the relevant opinion with the original application, certified photocopies of other supporting documents that follow it and a photograph of the applicant.
