Depending on their use, liquid fuel service stations are distinguished into: a) ‘private-use service stations’, used by the natural or legal person with the right to operate them in order to serve vehicles belonging to this person. Such service stations may be established if the number of vehicles exceeds 20, with the exception of the service stations referred to in Article 22(4) of Presidential Decree 1224/1981, for which there is no numerical limitation; and b) ‘public-use service stations’, used to serve vehicles belonging to anybody and to provide services, sell products and engage in various other activities.
