Description
The procedure concerns the issuing of a European Health Insurance Card (EHIC), a free card, which is provided to those who are actively insured by e-EFKA, in order to have access to medically necessary state care during their temporary stay in one of the 27 EU countries, Iceland, Liechtenstein, Norway and Switzerland, with the same conditions and at the same cost (in some countries, free of charge) as insured persons in that country.

1. using the e-EFKA electronic services;

The user shall enter the dedicated platform for submitting the EHIC application. They shall select the card beneficiary (for themselves and/or for dependants) and additionally enter:
- - their full name, in Latin characters (if their automatic completion is not consistent with the Latin letters of their ID card or passport);
- - their desired date of the card’s effective date;
- - their address information of their residence;
- - their contact information (if necessary, update their email address and/or telephone number).
