In the event of a negative response, the applicant has the right to apply for a review or lodge an administrative appeal in accordance with Article 24 of Law 2690/1999 (Government Gazette, Series I, No 45). More specifically, applicants may request that the administrative authority that issued the act revoke or amend it (application for review), or that the authority having jurisdiction over the authority that issued the act annul it (administrative appeal). The administrative authority to which the relevant application is submitted must notify the applicant of its decision on the application no later than within thirty (30) days, unless a different deadline is set under specific provisions.

A qualification, i.e. a degree in medicine from a Greek higher education institution or qualifications from an EU Member State educational organisation recognised under the provisions of Presidential Decree 38/2010 (Government Gazette, Series I, No 78) or a foreign qualification recognised by the DOATAP (Hellenic NARIC) as equivalent and corresponding to a degree in medicine in Greece.

Notes:
A photocopy of a degree from a school of medicine at a Greek university or a certificate from the university registrar stating that the applicant has graduated or a photocopy of a degree from a university of a Member State of the European Union with the apostille stamp, accompanied by a photocopy of an official translation thereof. An attestation from the competent authority in the place of origin that the degree complies with Directive 2005/36/EC, as applicable only to qualifications obtained before the Member State’s accession to the EU.
If no such attestation is not provided, the Panhellenic Medical Association (PIS) may seek it internally through the IMI system, allowing the corresponding title to be issued.
In the case of degrees from countries outside the European Union, a photocopy of a the degree in the foreign language and a translation thereof with a photocopy of the decision on its equivalence and correspondence by the DOATAP or DIKATSA.
