Enabling act
For this procedure, the person directly concerned issues an authorisation (power of attorney) for someone else to act on their behalf, to conduct their affairs to the extent of the powers granted to them. For the authorisation to be accepted by every administrative authority, it should bear the authenticated signature of the authorising person and the person directly concerned, thereby ensuring that their wishes are clearly stated. To obtain such authorisation, the citizen can either visit any administrative authority or Citizens’ Service Centre (KEP) to certify the authenticity of their signature on the text of the power of attorney, or can use the electronic authorisation issuing service (e-exousiodotisi) via the Single Digital Gateway (gov.gr).
