Description
The procedure concerns the notification of the commencement of operation of intercity bus stations (article 189 of Law 4442/2016), without fuel pump installations, the supporting documents kept at the place of activity, the procedure of notification of data in case of an imminent change, the authorities to which the notification shall be communicated and any relevant changes. It also concerns the notification of a change of activity.
The stations are divided into categories according to the annual number of passengers
embarking or disembarking each year:
- category 1 (up to 150 000 passengers),
- category 2 (from 150 000 to 1 000 000 000 passengers),
- category 3 (from 1 000 000 to 3 000 000 passengers),
- category 4 (from 3 000 000 to 10 000 000 passengers),
- category 5 (from 10 000 000 and above).

Notes:
The notification of the opening of a long-distance bus station shall be made in accordance with the model set out in its Annex No. 313214 (EKT B 5271/12.11.2021) of a Ministerial Decision. The same model shall apply to the disclosure of any change of the original for the operation of the station, such as changes of elements, change of an entity, change of location, etc. The notification shall include the information necessary for the activity in question and shall be submitted by the operator of the activity, who shall be solely responsible for the information contained therein.
