The applicant for Greek citizenship with naturalisation must, in order to fulfil the obligations arising from the status of the Greek citizen: • Know the Greek language adequately. • Know the Greek history and geography, the Greek culture and the habits of the Greek people, as well as the way in which the institutions of the country's culture operate. • To clarify the knowledge of the Greek language, history, geography, culture and the institutions of the culture, the applicant should obtain the Certificate of Conduct for Culture through written examinations carried out twice a year unless it falls within the category exempted from the relevant requirement to attend a Greek school or University.
