Description
the application for the regular unemployment benefit shall be submitted after an unemployment card has been issued, either at the Employment Promotion Centre (KPA2) service of the place of residence of the interested party or at the KPA2 service of their last employment. The choice of the KPA2 service is important because it will be responsible for all matters relating to the benefit of the insured person, who will have to appear there when requested to do so.
The application may be submitted in two ways:
(a) by electronic means and only via the e-services of the DYPA (former OAED) or the public services portal (www.gov.gr). The interested party selects ‘SUBMIT APPLICATION’ and then ‘APPLICATION FOR REGULAR UNEMPLOYMENT BENEFIT’ or (b) by appearing in person at the DYPA KPA2 service.
However, as long as the Covid-19 restrictions persist, applications may be submitted only via the e-services of the DYPA. During submission of the application, unemployed persons
are informed of:
-the requirements for the benefit and the purpose of the processing of their personal data;
-their obligations during the receipt of the benefit. Submitting a solemn declaration of Law 1599/86 stating that they have been informed in this regard, they declare:
-if they have protected members (dependants) in their family, to be granted a supplementary increase of 10%;
-a bank account of which they are the first beneficiary, where their benefits will be credited, submitting supporting documents only if they are necessary.
Upon final submission of the application, the unemployed person shall receive a copy recording specific intervals at which they are obliged to report in person to the DYPA until the consideration of the application. These intervals shall also be entered in the e-services of the DYPA.
