Title

Registration application.

Notes:

Successful candidates may access the online registrations information system of the Ministry of Education and Religious Affairs at https://eregister.it.minedu.gov.gr.

To log into the online app, candidates should enter the 8-digit candidate exam code and the same password they used to log into the online app of the application form.

The online application for registration shall serve as a solemn declaration of Article 8 of Law 1599/1986 (GG A 75). After logging into the app, successful candidates shall be asked to fill in their personal social security number (AMKA), which is verified through interoperability with the AMKA National Register. Among the other information that the user is asked to complete in their online registration application is their ID card or passport number, which usually appears pre-filled in with the corresponding number, which the user has completed in their application form, while retaining the ability to modify them.

During the online registration process, successful candidates are required to provide their contact details, mobile phone number and email address, which are confirmed through the relevant functions of the online app. Please note that the correctness of the contact details is particularly important, as the secretariats of the schools/departments will be able to use them in further processes.

All registration processes are carried out either by the successful candidate themselves or by a person duly authorised by them.

If the individual details displayed pre-completed in the application do not correspond to the details on the ID card or passport, and the applicant cannot solemnly declare that they accept their correctness, then they must immediately correct and update the incorrect details in the systems of the AMKA National Register, by submitting an application to any Citizens’ Service Centre (KEP).

After checking the correctness of the displayed modified details, the successful candidate should complete his online registration within the prescribed deadline.

After the final submission of the online registration application, a link may appear that prompts them to fill in more details for statistical purposes on a voluntary basis.

For military academies, police academies, fire service academies, merchant marine academies, Hellenic Coast Guard academies and Higher Schools of Tourism Education, the deadline and the registration procedure for successful candidates shall be determined and carried out by the relevant ministries.

            • 1 Electronic application for registration of admitted students in HEIs and Higher Ecclesiastical Academies

              Responsible for Implementation Software

              Μethod of Implementation Software action

Description After the announcement of the selection results and within an exclusive deadline announced by the Ministry of Education and Religious Affairs (YPALTH), the successful candidates admitted to Departments and Schools of HEIs and Higher Ecclesiastical Academies must submit electronically, through the electronic application of YPALTH, an application for registration in the Department or School to which they have been admitted. For access to the electronic application, school units provide support to successful candidates with regard to access codes.

Notes If it is not possible for an admitted student to register electronically for any reason (e.g. lack of AMKA or mobile phone number, force majeure, serious illness, military service or absence abroad, natural disaster or other important reason preventing timely electronic registration), registration is possible after expiry of the deadline for submitting the electronic application, following an application by the admitted student stating the reasons for the delay. The registration procedure referred to above is carried out by submitting the application directly to the Secretariat of the Department or School either in person, by electronic means (e.g. submission of the application by e-mail or via a specially designed platform), or by post. In any case, when electronic means or postal dispatch are used, completion of the registration requires submission of a solemn declaration by the successful candidate applying for registration, issued through www.gov.gr or bearing a handwritten signature with certification of its authenticity, stating that all information and any supporting documents submitted are accurate and true. The registration application referred to in this Article is submitted within an exclusive deadline of forty-five (45) days from the date of expiry of the deadline for submitting the electronic registration application. Registration is completed or not by a reasoned decision of the competent body of the Department or School. Any successful candidates who are not registered through the procedure of this Article lose the above right of registration.

              Responsible for Implementation Software

              Μethod of Implementation Software action

Description If a successful candidate is already registered in a first-cycle study programme of a Department or School of a Greek HEI or Higher Ecclesiastical Academy, with the same application-solemn declaration (requesting registration in the new School to which they have been admitted), they declare the Department or School of the HEI or Higher Ecclesiastical Academy in which they are already registered and at the same time request deregistration from it, in order to complete their registration in the new Department or School.

Notes In the exceptional case where the successful candidate ultimately does not wish to complete their registration in the new Department or School to which they have been admitted, they may, before issuance of the deregistration certificates, submit an application - solemn declaration revoking their deregistration to the Secretariat of the Department or School to which they had already electronically requested deregistration.

            • 3 Sending of lists of registration - deregistration applicants from YPALTH to HEIs and Higher Ecclesiastical Academies

              Responsible for Implementation Competent body

              Μethod of Implementation Software action

Description After completion of the electronic registration procedure, YPALTH sends to each HEI and Higher Ecclesiastical Academy: (a) a consolidated list of registered students per Department or School, through the central application of YPALTH, containing at least the following basic information for each registered person: Candidate Code Number, Name, Surname, Father’s Name, Mother’s Name, AMKA, e-mail address, mobile phone number and Department or School of HEI or Higher Ecclesiastical Academy, if they are already registered in another first-cycle study programme of a Greek HEI or Higher Ecclesiastical Academy. In the case of already registered persons, their registration is subject to their deregistration from the previous Department or School. (b) a consolidated list of persons requesting deregistration per Department or School, in order for their registration in the new Department or School to be completed, containing the information of the previous paragraph.

            • 4 Deregistration - registration procedure for successful candidates in another Department or School of a HEI or Higher Ecclesiastical Academy

              Responsible for Implementation Competent body

              Μethod of Implementation Software action

Description For completion of the registration of successful candidates who are already registered in another first-cycle study programme of a Department or School of a HEI or Higher Ecclesiastical Academy, completion of their deregistration from that Department or School is required. For this reason, after receiving the consolidated list of deregistration applicants, the Secretariats of the Departments or Schools immediately deregister the students requesting deregistration. The Secretariats of the Departments or Schools electronically send to the Secretariat of the new Department or School of the HEI or Higher Ecclesiastical Academy a relevant certificate of deregistration for the students who have requested deregistration. Under the responsibility of the Secretariat of the former Department or School, a relevant certificate of deregistration is sent electronically to the applicant at the e-mail address declared as their contact details in the electronic application of YPALTH. In the exceptional case where the successful candidate ultimately does not wish to complete their registration in the new Department or School to which they have been admitted, they may, before issuance of the deregistration certificates referred to in the previous paragraph, submit an application - solemn declaration revoking their deregistration to the Secretariat of the Department or School to which they had already electronically requested deregistration.

Description The Secretariats of the Departments and Schools check and compare the nominal list of successful candidates already received with the decision ratifying the lists from YPALTH against the list of registered students. The Secretariats of the Departments and Schools may use the verified contact details of registered students to issue user credentials for their electronic services and/or for communication. After completion of the registration procedure, each Department or School of the HEIs or Higher Ecclesiastical Academies compiles and sends to YPALTH, in electronic form, a file of all finally registered students.
