Prior notification is required to start a vehicle roadside assistance partner. The notification shall be submitted to the Directorate of Transport and Communications of the Regional Unit of the headquarters of the roadside assistance partner. The notification shall contain the necessary information on the activity carried out and shall be submitted by the operator of the activity, who shall be solely responsible for the information contained therein. The interested parties shall submit the initial notification/notification of change/disclosure via the electronic system www.notifiybusiness.gov.gr. Until this possibility has been achieved, the notification shall be submitted in paper or electronic form to the Regional Unit for Transport and Communications of the Road Assistance Partner or to any JEP operating as a CRP. If the elements of the initial notification of the vehicle assistance partner are to be changed, the partner shall submit a prior notification of the change in the same procedure as the original notification.

            • 1 Administrative A vehicle assistance partner shall be required to commence the prior notification; the vehicle assistance partner shall keep the supporting documents and the evidence of the submission of the notification in the area of his activity.

            • 2 Tax The road assistance partner has launched an activity with the tax authority responsible for the activity of vehicle assistance.

            • 3 Technical Road assistance requirements: The assistance partner has at least one private vehicle (platform, crane) per continental P.E. of activity as well as in the islands that operates, with a gross weight above four (4) tonnes, which has an established geo-location system (GPS). Except for the above minimum compulsory vehicle, the road assistance partner may have an unlimited number of vehicles (such as cars, trucks or bicycles). Road assistance vehicles are wholly owned by the road assistance partner or are held with the retention of ownership or rental or leasing contract. If the partner is only a partner of heavy goods road assistance then, instead of the above vehicle, he must have at least one truck above nineteen tonnes (19) tonne (platform, crane). For the calculation of the minimum number of vehicles the Regional Trucks of Central Sectors (Street Division) of Athens, which is accounted for as a Western Sector (Strengle).

            • 4 Building The road assistance partner has at least one stay and transhipment station in each of the mainlands of the mainland Greece, as well as in the islands where he is active. The station of stay and transhipment must have: a) ground floor space for office and restroom, capable of taking a passenger seat; b) at least one WC; c) at least one telephone connection; e) wireless communication device with road assistance vehicles; f) housed ground floor area of a competent area, with a mooring of inspection or lifting machine; g) parking space for road passenger vehicles.

            • 5 Building The vehicle assistance partner shall have a 24-hour call centre with call recordings.

            • 6 Conditions for non-commission of criminal offenses The natural person who is the entity of the activity or the natural persons representing the legal person shall not have been sentenced irrevocably to trafficking, trafficking or use of drugs, trafficking, intentional manslaughter, attempted homicide, fraud, theft, forgery, use of false document, robbery, desertion, embezzlement, torrentiality, bribery.

(b) Associates offering road assistance to islands other than the above, at least two (2) employees of which 50% are qualified as engineers or electric drivers and the remaining drivers.
