A non-resident voter is defined as a voter who expresses interest in voting in his/her place of residence, the combinations of the electoral district, in whose electoral lists he/she is registered, e.g. a resident of the Municipality of Kavala who resides in the Municipality of Thessaloniki and wishes to vote in the Municipality of Thessaloniki for the candidates of the electoral district of Kavala.

Non-resident citizens who wish to vote at their place of residence can submit an online application / solemn declaration. On the basis of the applications submitted, special electoral rolls are drawn up and votes are cast: - For the European elections, at the ordinary polling stations of their place of residence.

- In national or simultaneous elections (national and European elections on the same day) at special polling stations for heterodemocrats in the capital cities of the prefectures (except for the prefectures of Attica and Thessaloniki, except for Kythera and Antikythera).

              Description If the application concerns a voter without a VAT number, then the user selects the corresponding declaration in the Application (voter without VAT number). In this case, the user has the option to freely select the voter he/she serves in the Basic Electoral List, provided that he/she is under 30 years old, as required by law.

              Notes The search is done : Either by filling in the Special Electoral Number (SEN) and the Surname (in full but only the first one if there is more than one). Or by filling in the Surname (in full but only if there is more than one) the First Name and the Fathers Name (the first two letters are sufficient) and the year of birth. And in the case of the Surname, if there are two Surnames, the first name is used in the search. The mothers name may be left blank in the search. For the special cases of voters of unknown father, the search should be done by checking the " Without father " box.

              Description In order to submit the Application, the user must indicate by ticking the relevant boxes that: 1. Accept that the application is subject to the status of a solemn declaration 2. The application is a statement that states that it is a declaration of eligibility. 3. He/she understands that: in the event that the number of forty (40) voters from the constituency in which he/she is registered is not reached in the entire electoral district of his/her place of residence, he/she will not exercise his/her right to vote as an absentee voter and will vote only in the municipality where he/she is registered in the electoral rolls. 4. He/she has been informed that: if he/she no longer wishes to exercise his/her electoral right as a non-resident, he/she will have to request himself/herself to be removed from the Special Registers of Non-resident Voters.
