Steps

  • 1 Application by a company for a license to export waste

    Responsible for Implementation Competent Minister

    Description The company concerned sends its file to our department (B6 Directorate - Ministry of Foreign Affairs) requesting the issue of a waste export license.

    Notes The file is considered complete when the following have been received from the Ministry of Environment: (a) the license to collect and transport hazardous waste; and (b) the written consent to the transboundary transport of the items in question. To date, all applications for export licenses have been approved.

  • 2 Examination of the application by the competent officer

    Responsible for Implementation Competent Employee

    Μethod of Implementation Inspection

    Description The competent officer examines the file and, once satisfied that it is complete, proceeds with preparing the waste export license document. The document is sent for signature.

  • 3 Sending the approval to the company concerned

    Responsible for Implementation Competent Employee

    Description Once the approval is signed, the relevant officer shall electronically send the document to its recipient (the company concerned).

    Notes At the request of the company, the document may also be received in paper form.
