Requirements

Time limit
A third-country national must apply for renewing his/her residence permit within two (2) months before its expiry.

Labour
The applicant must hold a valid employment contract relating to highly qualified employment of at least six (6) months in Greece, showing that his/her gross annual salary, as resulting from the monthly or annual salary specified in the above contract, is not less than the national minimum wage for highly qualified employment.

Insurance
The applicant should have active insurance capacity for the entire period of validity of the residence permit to be renewed. If the third-country national does not have active insurance during any of the years of validity of his/her residence permit, he/she shall provide either proof of receipt of unemployment benefit for that period, or evidence documenting any force majeure for failure to meet the relevant condition.

Tax
The applicant must have met his/her tax obligations during the period of validity of the residence permit to be renewed.

Of National Security
He/she must not be considered a threat to public policy, public security or international relations and must not have been registered in national databases as a persona non grata for serious reasons of public policy and security for longer than five years.

He/she must not pose a risk to public health.

To submit an application, the applicant must have a mobile telephone number and an email address.
