The application includes: (i) The details of the applicant natural or legal person, their tax identification number (TIN) and the Tax Office (DOY) to which they belong.
ii) The specific special pet-friendly rooms (room number, floor) available for guests with pets.
iii) The appointment of a person charged with providing instructions and informing pet owners of their obligations during their stay at the accommodation.
iv) Compliance with the minimum required specifications and amenities of Decision No 20713/10-10-2025 (Government Gazette, Series II, No 5501).

Rules concerning a lack of reply from the competent authority and the legal consequences for the use:
The competent Regional Tourism Service shall, within 28 days from the date of submission of the relevant application together with all the required paperwork/
documentation, issue a relevant certificate granting the Pet-Friendly Tourist Accommodation label. If the above period lapses, the Label shall be presumed granted as per Article 14(4) of Law 3844/2010 (Government Gazette, Series I, No 63) and the applicant may request a relevant attestation from the R.T.S.

Building
The accommodation must have: (a) durable and easy-to-clean flooring; (b) if there is carpet in the bedroom, it must not cover the entire surface of the bedroom so that it can be easily removed (the use of permanently installed carpet, e.g. fitted carpet, is prohibited); (c) the fabrics used for furniture and mattresses in bedrooms must be waterproof and/or water-resistant, while mattresses may also be fitted with waterproof covers; (d) the following are required for the electrical installations and lighting: electrical sockets must have a protective cover (cap) or special protective cover (plug), while bedside lamps must be wall-mounted; (e) indoor plants are prohibited; (f) special pet care equipment must be provided. This includes, at a minimum, a feeder, a water bowl, a litter tray for cats (preferably covered) together with a scoop for cleaning the litter.

Health
After every stay of a pet owner with their pet the room must be cleaned meticulously, ventilated, deodorised, and decontaminated; all bedclothes (including blankets or duvet covers in case of duvets, as well as mattress covers) must be replaced with clean bedclothes.

Of Consent
Pet-friendly rooms may be made available to guests without pets, if the accommodation provider informs guests concerning the special use of the available room, upon a relevant agreement and the written consent of the guest.

Certification
The accommodation provider is required to request the relevant pet identification documents, such as the pets electronic health records or passport and a relevant certificate in case of service dogs and other such pets; the accommodation provider and the pet owner (or adoptive owner) shall enter into a relevant agreement, the form for which shall be determined by the Ministerial Decision of Article 74(4) of Law 4875/2021. The accommodation shall maintain a copy of the pets electronic health records or passport until the departure of the owner or adoptive owner and their pet(s).

Compliance or Non-Compliance
One to three pets, whether dogs or cats, may be accommodated per room. Pet owners shall ensure that their pets make no noise and cause no damage to the accommodation, even where they are left without supervision.
Pets may not enter (i) indoor dining rooms (breakfast room, restaurant, meal room, cafeteria etc.); (ii) communal sanitary spaces (WC, showers, swimming facilities ); (iii) auxiliary spaces of the accommodation (cleaning areas, storerooms, staff-only areas); (iv) other installations of the accommodation (gymnasium, sauna, entertainment centre, wellness centre, spa); while (v) pets may only enter the open-air spaces and other communal areas of the accommodation when on a leash or in a safe transportation cage, monitored by and under the responsibility of their owner.
By way of exception, as per Article 21 of Law 4830/2021 (Government Gazette, Series I, No 169), service dogs and other therapy animals may accompany their owner in all communal and indoor spaces of the accommodation, except for (open-air or enclosed) swimming pools and saunas.

Administrative
A person charged with providing instructions and informing pet owners regarding their obligations during their stay at the accommodation must be appointed.
