Description
Citizens of the United Kingdom and members of their families, as defined in Article 9 of the Withdrawal Agreement and falling within the scope of Article 10 thereof will, upon application, be issued a residence permit in accordance with Article 18(4) of the Withdrawal Agreement. According to Article 18(4) of the Withdrawal Agreement, ‘Where a host state has chosen not to require Union citizens or United Kingdom nationals, their family members, and other persons, residing in its territory in accordance with the conditions set out in this Title, to apply for the new residence status referred to in paragraph 1 as a condition for legal residence, those eligible for residence rights under this Title have the right to receive, in accordance with the conditions set out in Directive 2004/38/EC, a residence document, which may be in a digital form, that includes a statement that it has been issued in accordance with this Agreement’. The period of validity of the residence permit is set at ten (10) years if the applicants have established a right of permanent residence in Greece and five (5) years if they have not established a right of permanent residence, in accordance with Articles 15 and 16 of the Withdrawal Agreement.

For minor children, the application should be submitted either by the custodial parent or by a lawyer duly authorised by the custodian. Where custody is exercised by both parents, it is sufficient for one of the two parents to be present and for the other to provide their consent in writing, while the handwritten signature of the latter must be verified by any public authority.
